When an exit exam becomes an exit ramp for too many Texans
I thought I would share an old article that we have framed in the Texas Center for Education Policy's (TCEP) office. It's one of many historical documents that recognize years of hard work from folks like former Representative Dora Olivo (pictured here), my blog-mate and mentor Angela Valenzuela, and others involved in a long struggle to end high-stakes testing in Texas. Since today is Representative Dora Olivo's birthday it seems even more appropriate to post this.
