Who is on their review board and is it diverse are quick obvious questions of concern. Reminiscent of Oscar Lewis, Arthur Jensen, Charles Murray and Richard Herrnstein, and Samuel Huntington, this fits within the ignoble and shameful tradition of "scientific racism" that is itself a white supremacist project.
The petition below, written by Dr. Davíd G. Martínez, Assistant Professor, University of South Carolina, is asking all educators, scholars, and advocates to sign on. I just signed. While academic freedom protects Dr. Mead to write what he wishes, academic, scholarly presses should simply have better judgement. To do otherwise, is to serve as handmaidens to white supremacy.
