"Path to Wellness Family Board Game," by Dr. Cristina Santamaria Graff

Friends,

As we all know and are experiencing under COVID at this moment, wellness is key.  Take a few minutes and listen to Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis Professor Dr. Cristina Santamaria Graff play a board game that she developed that every family could play called, "Path to Wellness Family Board Game."
I felt better just answering the questions myself.

Thank you for your wisdom, Dr. SantaMaria Graff, in this crucial moment of much-needed wellness.

DESCRIPTION: In this video, we are playing a board game that we created. The board game is called "Path to Wellness." It is played similarly to Candy Land, but the main difference is that instead of one person "winning," everyone completes the path to wellness by answering questions. Meant to be more of a cooperative rather than competitive game, the outcomes require everyone to work together and support one another. This game has questions that focus on the individual's physical, emotional, mental, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing and health. We actually learned a lot from one another while playing this game. I had forgotten how my husband had received a scar over this left eye playing soccer as a young boy. One of the questions elicited that memory from him. The girls said they really liked playing this game together as a family and they were excited to answer the more challenging questions. I am still developing this game and tweaking it, but if you are interested in a template, the instructions, and examples of questions/prompts, please email me at: EduSpirit.Community@gmail.com
