ICE has been conducting “secret” raids here in Austin. According to our records they seem to be targeting north Austin. They took 22 on Monday, and 17 on Tuesday. No numbers right now for yesterday or today.
We suspect they will continue throughout the remainder of the week.
Some of the calls indicate that ICE is literally knocking on people’s doors and arresting them. They are also pulling people over on their way to work in the morning 6am-7am.
We should also all reach out to our Congressional representatives and tell them that we need fair and humane immigration reform, and a pathway to citizenship for our DREAMers.
