There will be a pop-up "Protest the Name Change/Keep Mexican American Studies" Press Conference this coming Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 1:30pm CST in 6 cities across Texas (see press release below).
The Austin press conference takes place in the Raul Salinas Room of the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Culture Center at 1:30PM on May 30, 2018.
We are asking everyone to join us and spread this flyer and Request for Coverage to all of your friends and media contacts. Let's tell the Texas State Board of Education in a resounding voice that they approved a Mexican American Studies course, they should keep the original title of the course: Mexican American Studies. See you this Wednesday in a Texas city near you.
