The Unity Walk in collaboration with the National Day of Action against Trump's Compact for Higher Education is happening this coming Friday. You can learn about it here and if you're in Austin, consider joining forces with @_htsga and B.L.A.C.K. UT for uniting with Texas Youth to stand up against this attempted take over. In their public statement, they express the following:
African and Indigenous descendants are the heart and soul of Texas and all of the Americas. Our histories have been slaughtered, altered, and used, as have our people. The tyrants have fought long and hard to keep us misinformed about who we are and how this “land of the free” has chained us to systems of exploitation.
On November 7th, we ask that alumni, community members, and local business owners show up to support students as they continue this fight for academic freedom and their right to expression.
