Angela's advice and counsel from yesterday, 11.12.16

For all people of conscience, let's connect the dots and join all of our movements.  Here is what you can do.  -Angela Valenzuela

I request that you join me at this press conference at 9:30 AM this Sunday morning on behalf of our immigrant community. It is not an all an exaggeration that our children are getting bullies, harassed, and threatened—in some instances, by their very teachers and other adults at school.  All of our children in our education system have a constitutional right to an education.  Educate yourself on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals DACA here.

Don't Mess with Texas Families - Press Conference- Austin, Texas, this morning!

Don’t Mess with Texas Families - Press Conference Sunday, November 13 at 9:30 AM Austin City Hall in Austin, Texas   We know that immigrant communities could be the first targeted by the new administration and we want to stand together against this hateful agenda.

We are building as we speak a national movement to protect our DACA students.  A good number of them are teachers in our schools, too, by the way, and they, too, wonder if they can even plan anything, personally or professionally, into the near future either for themselves or their students.

We fear that because the government has their IDs, that they may be the first targeted.  We must develop and anti-ICE movement and defend, stand up to the ICE. We are organizing as we speak. More on this shall be forthcoming.
