Film: A Strike and an Uprising (in Texas), directed by Anne Lewis

Friends, Consider attending the screening of this documentary by director, Anne Lewis, a treasure in our community. It represents an opportunity to address Black-Brown relations in Texas, particularly shared histories of oppressive labor conditions.  It features the legendary Emma Tenayuca.

Teachers, this film is good as an companion to Carmen Tafolla and Sharyll Teneyuca's (2008) children's book titled, That's Not Fair! / No Es Justo! Emma Tenayuca's Struggle for Justice/La Lucha de EmmaTenayuca Por la Justicia.
