Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Happy holidays! Now in its 11th year, Academia Cuauhtli—meaning “Eagle Academy” in Nahuatl—continues to serve as a community-anchored, research-informed educational space for children and youth in Austin, Texas. As we prepare for the upcoming spring term, we find ourselves in need of immediate financial support.
To remain operational this spring, we are seeking $10,000 in end-of-year contributions, the minimum amount required to sustain our programming, educators, and learning activities.
At a time when public education funding and City of Austin resources are increasingly constrained, your support is essential to ensuring that Academia Cuauhtli can continue offering culturally sustaining, justice-oriented education rooted in community and ancestral knowledge.
If you are able, please consider Academia Cuauhtli in your end-of-year giving. No donation is too small. Every contribution makes a meaningful difference in the lives of so many children and families whose lives we continue to positively impact.
With deep gratitude.
Angela Valenzuela, Ph.D.
Co-Founder and Convener, Academia Cuauhtli
