This blog on Texas education contains posts on higher education, as well as preK-12 policy accountability, testing, bilingual education, immigration, school finance, race, class, and gender issues at both the state and national level. It also represents my digital footprint, of life and career, as a community-engaged scholar in Texas.

This piece in Time.com is about the desire to deny birthright citizenship, a right guaranteed by the 14th Amendment of the Constitution. This campaign has existed for a long time in the U.S. but proceeds now with more apparent fervor. If you read the last chapter of Gene Glass' book titled, Fertilizers, Pills & Magnetic Strips: The Fate of Public Education in America (earlier post), you get a good picture about why this is happening.
