The press conference was held at the Texas State Capitol as the Texas Senate Subcommittee on Education brought leaders from across Texas Public Universities to a hearing about compliance of SB 17 the elimination Diversity/Equity/Inclusion.

The press conference was hosted by the NAACP, LULAC, the Legal Defense Fund, Equality Texas, the Legal Defense Fund, Texas Rising, Texas Students for DEI.
